270 Park Avenue Lobbey
JPMorgan Chase
New York, New York

Originally built for the Union Carbide Corporation in 1960, 270 Park Avenue in New York City has seen two intensive renovations.

Projects for the Manufacturers Hanover Corporation in 1978-79 and again for Chemical and Chase Banks in the 1990s were directed by John Shmerykowsky.

When JPMorgan and Chase merged, and merged again with Bank One, Shmerykowsky provided analysis and schematic design for a 21st Century remake.

These images show the current lobby. The tower's second floor was removed to create dramatic signature entrance.
