The fortress-like exterior of 33 Maiden Lane is a perfect complement to the nearby New York Federal Reserve. Designed by prominent architect Philip Johnson, the building's formal toughness is somewhat lessened by the whimsical turrets that line its upper reaches. 33 Maiden Lane was engineered by John Shmerykowsky during his time as Partner-in-Charge at Weiskopf & Pickworth.
